Expressive, succulent, structured,
There is something quite authoritative about winemaker Randy Picton's Nk'Mip wines and this Merlot follows suit. Bordering on brooding, it doles out wild forest berry and dusty plums then pulls you deeper into blue rare steak on the grill, toasted spices and bacon fat. The palate is more expressive; generous fruit, fine spices, dark chocolate and coffee liqueur on the finish. It is supple, boasts ripe tannins and has excellent persistence.
Pair: grilled meats, roasted eggplant or vegetables, hearty pastas, Camembert cheese or savoury lentil dishes.
